Introducing pink!

 

I feel like I've been talking about these prints and showing you previews forever. Well, the first color is finally finished and I'm so excited to share it with you!

I'm also working on a blue version (you saw a preview here) and will soon start on a sea foam green one, too. These prints were far more challenging than I'd anticipated - I wanted the top color to be either ochre or gold, but ochre was too transparent and gold was too difficult to work with. I talked about my frustration at my weekly art ladies' group meeting and Cindy Ann suggested laying down a darker, opaque color first, then covering it with a lighter color. The result is gorgeous - the top layer shimmers against the heat of the pink layer.

These prints are 12x12 and will be available in a limited edition of 25.
