I usually use the same piece of linen over and over again for test prints. I like the way the stars, dots and plaid all look together so much that this may become a new pattern - after I futz with the alignment a bit.
My mistakes and misprints and test runs often yield such great rewards. That's possibly I don't have any expectations of them, so I let whatever surfaces just be.
